Electrical Wiring Low Voltage Safe Work
Method Statement:
The General Electrical Wiring Safe Work Method Statement
(SWMS) is a comprehensive 6 page procedure outlining the safety steps
for low voltage Electrical Wiring. The General Electrical Wiring
procedure is ready to use and is not a blank template.
This SWMS relates to low voltage, non-live electrical
connection, equipment and installation works. The main hazards include:
electrocution (fatality), electric shock, falls and asbestos in some
switchboards. Simply add your company details, ABN, and include any site
specific details or risks and make it specific to the task at hand.
It is then ready for printing and to be incorporated as
part of your overall OHS System.
The Electrical Wiring Low Voltage procedure can be used as part of your OHS
inductions, for Tool box talks or tender applications.
Planning
Conduct an assessment of intended work site and develop a task
specific SWMS.
Include :

- prospective fault levels
