Mini Excavator Safety Notes
Before Operating Mini Excavators:
- Check hydraulic hoses and couplings for splits and leaks.
- Check fluid and oil levels.
- Familiarise yourself with the controls and safety decal information.
- (Usually there are at least four main levers that operate the wheels (skid steer) and the bucket.)
- Check all controls for operation direction marking

During Operation:
- Ensure personnel are kept clear of the immediate work vicinity when the machine is in operation.
- Always stand on the operator platform behind the machine.
- DO NOT walk behind the machine
- DO NOT travel with bucket or other attachment above machine height.
- Select correct power divider position.

Mini Excavator Notes On Transporting
- Truck or trailer to be parked on level ground.
Apply truck hand brake.
- Slide ramps into locking position.
- Where fitted insert locking pins and clips.
- Check that the ramps are parallel.
- Check that the bucket is empty and the wheels are clean.
- Reverse up the ramps when loading. This will ensure that the excavator will be driven forward down ramps when unloaded.
